The are only a few places left for the National Vascular training Day. The NVTD precedes the BSET meeting each year and is highly regarded. It is a day dedicated to training with some of the UKs leading experts. This year it is on Wednesday 29th June at Walton Hall Hotel, Warwickshire.
As this year is the 10th anniversary of the BSET meeting, the NVTD organising committee have made a special effort to attract special international guests and high profile UK speakers to deliver quality interactive teaching (debates and updates, MDT style ISCP case based discussions) in the following areas:
Standard EVAR- Mr Marcus Brooks, Mr Chris Twine
Complex EVAR- Prof Rao Vallabhaneni, Mr Bijan Moderai
Thoracic pathology and dissection- Ms Rachel Bell, Mr Mike Jenkins
Chronic limb ischaemia- Prof Jonathan Beard, Mr Jon Boyle
Extracranial disease and upper limb- Prof Ross Naylor, Mr Patrick Coughlin
We are also delighted to announce our KEYNOTE LECTURE by Prof Frank Veith (NY):
Why the IMPROVE and other RCTs comparing EVAR and Open Repair for Ruptured AAAs are Misleading.
In addition there will also be plenty of opportunity for practical training: Simulators (minimum of 10) in addition to a faculty to delegate ration of 1:2 will deliver teaching opportunities in peripheral, aortic and venous intervention using a variety of commercial platforms including: Cook, Endologix, InCraft, Medtronic, Vascutek, WL Gore, and more.
The day closes with a trainee vs consultant and industry rounders match and a barbecue where prizes are awarded.
The £250 fee includes course fee, registration for the BSET meeting, all meals and 2 nights accommodation at the venue.
