course overview

Bringing together experts in the field of complex aortic interventions, this course aims to teach and re-inforce the principles of planning complex juxta-renal aortic endovascular procedures. It is suitable for senior trainees and consultants who have an understanding of infra-renal planning and who wish to develop their skills in planning complex aortic endovascular procedures. The course combines lectures with plenty of opportunity for hands-on practise on simulators.


To reinforce the principles of planning complex aortic endovascular procedures


Know how current infra-renal devices can be used non-IFU in short neck aneurysms
Know the evidence and be able to plan FEVAR using standard technologies
Know the differences between available fenestrated and branched stent graft devices
Know how case planning differs in aortic dissection versus aneurysmal disease
Know and demonstrate how to plan cases using chimneys

We have 20 bursary places available for senior trainees and consultants to attend the course, eligible candidates will be required to book and pay to attend the event in advance and reimbursement will be given on the day of the event.
